Left Behind?

Rainbow Rights invites you to an important forum we are hosting on December 2, the eve of the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The forum is called ‘Left Behind?’, which is often how many of us feel.

The forum will be a place where we will share our art, our thoughts on our rights, our invisibility and have a discussion with you about ways to break down some of the barriers people with an intellectual disability who identify as LGBTIQA+ face. We want to talk about ideas and possible partnerships to get our real participation within the LGBTIQA+ community.

The forum is hybrid, both face-to-face and on Zoom.

Rainbow Rights and Advocacy is a Self Advocacy Group run by and for people with an intellectual disability who identify as LGBTIQA+.

The forum has been made possible through a small grant from the Victorian Government’s Pride Events and Festivals Fund 2021–22: Celebrating diversity and connection.
