OPA Information Sessions

The Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) runs regular, recurring webinars including

  • Overview of medical treatment decision-making – 20 minutes with Q&A.
  • Enduring powers of attorney and medical treatment decision-making – 1 hour-for professionals and general public, with presentation and Q&A.
  • Effective communication with health professionals – 15 minutes session for people working in health care with people with disability.
  • Overview of guardianship and administration – 20 minutes with Q&A
  • Dignity and decision-making (including choice and control – 15 minute on the right of all people, including people with disability, to have choice and control over decisions that affect them.
  • Frequently asked questions – 20 minute common enquiries to OPA with Q&A.
  • Dignity in relation to care needs – 15 minutes on the right of all people to have dignity in relation to care needs.
