Parents with intellectual disability succeeding

Traditionally, people with intellectual disability have been poorly supported in their role as parents. Some organisations are making a difference by helping people with intellectual disability to succeed as parents and keeping children with their natural parents. Key Assets and Ngala are two organisations doing this in Western Australia.

This webinar gives an opportunity for parents with intellectual disability and the people who support them to tell us what it takes for them to thrive as parents and to keep their families together and strong

This session will feature people with lived experience as parents with intellectual disability discussing the support they received and the supports they need to succeed as parents. It will include a question and answer section.
