Shape your ideas: Disability Royal Commission community engagement drop in

Your experiences and ideas will help the Disability Royal Commission with its work.   This ‘Drop -in’ is your chance to:

  • Ask any questions you have about the Disability Royal Commission
  • Find out how you can help those you work with to share experiences, stories or ideas on topics that the
  • Disability Royal Commission is investigating.
  • Find out how to access free counselling support if you feel uncomfortable sharing your story or have any difficult feelings because of the Disability Royal Commission (DRC).

A Royal Commission is an investigation, independent of government, into a matter of great importance. The Disability Royal Commission is investigating promoting a more inclusive society that supports people with disability to be independent and live free from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

The DRC will publish a report of recommendations to the Australian Government in September 2023. This report will recommend how to improve laws, policies, structures and practices to ensure a more inclusive and just society.
