Invitation to Participate in Survey: Enhancing Digital Harms Guidelines for Minority Communities

RMIT University’s Digital Ethnography Research Centre and the RMIT Digital Hostility and Disinformation Lab have been researching digital harms now for several years, and have begun building guidelines for fellow members of minority communities to

  1. Clarify the fast-changing terminology of digital harms
  2. Provide information on how and where to seek support
  3. Encourage reporting and remedy-seeking.

They are hoping for your help and would like to test the guidelines on advocacy and support organisations in Australia to get your assessment and feedback on their potential usefulness.

They currently have 6 Digital Harms 2-page guideline “fact sheets”.  If you have some spare time over the next few weeks, they would truly appreciate it if you could take a look and answer a few brief survey questions on each one.  We estimate it will take about 5-6 minutes to read and respond to questions about each one.

If you’re keen, please go to: http://digitalhostility.org/digital-harms-and-minorities-guidelines-testing/  to access the guidelines and links to the questions.
