Maroondah City Council will be celebrating International Day of People with a Disability on Thursday 13 November with an event at Karralyka in Ringwood. The focus for this year’s IDPWD event will be on transport.
The event will include presentations from the following speakers :
• Tricia Malowney -OAM Chief Accessibility Advocate – Victorian Department of Transport
• Laura Edwards – Head of Network Inclusion | Corporate Affairs, Metro Trains Melbourne
• David Simmonds – Director Transport Accessibility and Inclusion Integrated Strategy
A panel discussion will take place after the presentations. This event will also be supported by a mini expo where guests can see exhibitors prior and after the presentations. The exhibitors include Safe Transport Victoria, Metro Trains, Travellers Aid, Centrelink, NDIS Latrobe Health, Ventura, Victoria Police, Each, Interchange Outer East, Maroondah City Council, EV – Strengthening Communities.
