Women with Disabilities Victoria’s Gender and Disability Workforce Development Team is once again excited to offer our professional development program on the Preventing Gender and Disability Based Violence in March 2026.

Registrations are now open for a 2-part online workshop, for social and community service professionals, to learn about how gender and disability inequality drives violence, and how we can all prevent it.
Session 1: Introduction to Preventing Gender and Disability Based ViolenceTuesday 3rd of March, 10:00am–3:00pm
Session 2 Gender and Disability Prevention in Action: Wednesday 4th of March, 10:00am–3:00pm
Both sessions include a 1-hour lunch break and additional short breaks.

The series is facilitated by women and gender diverse people with disabilities and centres the voices of lived experience. It is evidence-based, aligning with the latest research on disability, Our Watch’s Changing the Landscape, and the Preventing Family Violence & Violence against Women Capability Framework.
