Would you like to understand the increased risks and impacts on the most at risk in our community experiencing natural disasters? This workshop will provide people with disability, carers and their representative organisations, service providers from the community, health and disability sectors and emergency managers an opportunity to learn about disability inclusive emergency planning. ,,
Michelle Villeneuve from the Centre for Disability Research and Policy at The University of Sydney will facilitate this workshop. Following on from the workshop, the researchers will write a report including a summary of the discussions and recommendations to help municipal and state emergency managers to learn about what needs to happen to increase the inclusion of people with disability in emergency planning.
