In 2024 – 2025 Cancer Council Victoria worked with four Victorian disability organisations to address this issue. These disability organisations are Down Syndrome Victoria, Gippsland Disability Advocacy Inc, VALID and Women with Disabilities Victoria.
Sign up for this free event to hear from these organisations about their work promoting cervical and bowel screening to Victorians with disability. Learn about the unique projects they ran, and what they learned along the way. The aim of these projects was to increase the knowledge, awareness and confidence of people with disability to do cancer screening. Projects were funded by the Department of Health.
This event is particularly aimed at people who work or volunteer at disability, Deaf, health or community organisations, however everyone is welcome to attend.
