APEC Women’s Business Accelerator Program

The APEC Women’s Business Activator Team at RMIT University is offering an exciting opportunity for women with disability who are:

  • business founders or
  • key decision-makers in small and medium-sized businesses in the APEC region.

This program has been designed to support women-led businesses to enter and participate in local and global markets.  It gives practical help to participants to overcome barriers to full and equal participation and leadership, including in entrepreneurship.

The program uses a mix of workshops, group coaching sessions, and on-demand one-on-one mentoring to cover topics including:

  • defining your value proposition
  • financial fundamentals
  • budgeting.

Sessions run from May to September, including a one week face-to-face workshop in Melbourne in July.

Selected women candidates from ODA eligible economies (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) will receive free access to training material, participation in online workshops and all travel costs to attend the intensive five-day session in Melbourne, including return flights, visas, travel insurance, transfers and six night’s accommodation, as well as daily expenses!

This is the second year of the program, and the organisers are particularly keen to receive applications from women with disability
