The Healthy Discussions Coordinator will lead the delivery of the second stage of OPA’s Healthy Discussions project. The project aims to contribute to improved communication between health professionals and people with disability. It also aims to contribute to health professionals having improved understanding of disability.
The project uses a supported decision-making lens. It promotes the message that people should be provided with practicable and appropriate support to be able to make decisions about their health if they need support. It highlights that there are small but effective ways that health professionals and health services can provide this support and make reasonable adjustments to ensure that people with disability are at the centre of decisions about their own health.
this is a prioritised position for people with disability, classified under ‘special measures’ of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. Only people with disability are eligible to apply. Please acknowledge eligibility in your application.
