The Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability (ASID) is seeking Expressions of Interest from current and new people interested and available to serve on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (JIDD) published by Taylor & Francis. The current editor is Associate Professor Rafat Hussain.
JIDD is an international, multidisciplinary journal in the field of intellectual and developmental disability. The Journal publishes original qualitative and quantitative research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, policy analysis papers, brief reports, case reports, data briefs, and opinions and perspectives. Four issues are published a year.
Attributes/ Skills of Editorial Board Members
Editorial Board members will have experience of research, writing for publication, journal editing or publishing or experience of evaluation, using or disseminating research for practice. Individuals who join the Editorial Board agree to:
- Undertake a minimum of four article reviews per year as requested by the Editor
- Contribute towards maintaining and exceeding the Journal’s high editorial and operational standards
- Provide suggestions and recommendations to the Editor for continuous quality improvement
- Be available to offer editorial advice to the Editor as required
- Advocate on behalf of the Journal and its publisher in an effort to recruit readers, authors, peer reviewers, board members, and other potential partners
- Represent and advocate for the Journal at relevant conferences and symposia, at university or agency, and in their capacity as an ASID member
Period of appointment
The initial appointment will be for three years commencing 1st May 2023
