The National Disability Research Partnership (NDRP) are currently looking for young people with a passion for inclusive research, disability rights, and knowledge-sharing to join us as note-takers for the upcoming NDRP Evidence to Action event on Thursday 1 May 2025.
This is a paid opportunity and a great way to be part of a national event focused on how we make sure research leads to real change for people with disability.
✍️ What’s involved
You’ll be responsible for taking clear, inclusive notes during a 30-minute breakout room discussion on Zoom. We’ll provide a simple note-taking template and a full briefing beforehand.
Each breakout room will have a dedicated facilitator who will guide the conversation—you’ll be able to see inclusive facilitation in action, which is a great chance to learn from experienced advocates, researchers, and leaders.
🕒 Time commitment:
- The event runs from 11:00am to 2:00pm AEST on Thursday 1 May
- You’ll also attend a briefing session on Friday 11 April, 1:30–2:30pm AEST
- We’ve factored in time for prep and a short debrief afterwards too
💰 Total payment: $300 (for approx. 6 hours)
📌 Why it matters:
This is a great opportunity for NDRP to capture key insights from the breakout rooms, especially since Zoom doesn’t allow us to record all small group sessions. Your notes will help make sure attendees’ ideas are reflected in what comes next.
💡 Who we’re looking for
If you are available at the times and dates above, we welcome young people with disability, or anyone passionate about inclusive research. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who’s confident listening, writing down key ideas, and keen to be involved.
If you’re interested or would like to know more, just reply to [email protected] We’re looking for 10 note-takers, so we’d love to hear from you soon.
