Parent Pathways is a free, voluntary Australian Government service that provides personalised assistance and financial support to eligible parents and carers as they work towards their personal, study or work goals. Through the service, parents and carers work with a qualified mentor who provides flexible, tailored and family-friendly support.
Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who:
- have a child under 6
- are not in paid employment
- live in an area where there is a Parent Pathways provider, and
- are currently receiving parenting or carer payment or
- special benefit.
Parents and carers might also be eligible if they are not getting a Centrelink payment and are a First Nations parent or carer, under 22 years old or are an early school leaver.
Parent Pathways providers are in every state and territory of Australia.
