Jarrod Sandell-Hay is a Specialist Individual Advocate working in Communication Rights at Disability Rights & Culture (DRC) in Victoria. He is offering secondary consultation to disability advocacy organisations to clients when communication support needs are involved. He can also assist with advocating alongside people with disabilities to:

• Have their communication needs recognised and respected across services, NDIS, health, education and employment
• Speak up about violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation when communication barriers are part of the problem
• Prepare for and take part in NDIS reviews, meetings and complaints, with a focus on accessible communication
• Work alongside families, supporters and other advocates to build communication-friendly plans, meetings and documents
