People with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABIs) are vastly over-represented in Victorian prisons. A conservative estimate from Australian Institute of Health and Welfare suspects that 40-90% of the Australian prison population has an Acquired Brain Injury. Voices For Change is a self-advocacy group made up of members with the lived experience of this intersection between ABI x Criminal Justice experience. The group has recently completed creating their own self-advocacy podcast series, sharing their stories, interviewing sector experts, and providing their views on what needs to change. Join Voices for Change to hear about their expeirences developing All Been Inside, their new podcast series, and how this has informed their ongoing self-advocacy work within the sector.
