Heather Ryan

Heather (She/They) works directly with disabled young people as YDAS's Human Rights Advocacy Manager. She is a qualified Youth Worker and holds a Graduate Diploma in Adolescent Health and Wellbeing.

Heather brings a wealth of skills and experience from two decades of working with young people across various roles in mental health, youth participation and community development. Having worked extensively with disabled, First Nations & LGBTIQA+ young people, she has an enduring commitment to upholding young people’s rights and voices.

Proudly disabled and neurodivergent herself, Heather enjoys reading, writing and hanging out with their kids and pets.
