Join BreastScreen Victoria’s Disability Consumer Advisory Group

BreastScreen Victoria believes in the power of the consumer voice and lived experiences to drive real change.

We launched our first Disability Action Plan in August 2024. The plan creates a pathway to enhance disability inclusion in service delivery, recruitment and staff learning and development.

We established a Disability Consumer Advisory Group that plays vital role in ensuring our services are accessible, inclusive, and culturally safe. Insights help us improve our service so that it remains trusted and welcoming for the diverse communities we serve.

By listening to the diverse experiences of our Advisory Group members, we ensure our service meets the unique needs of all Victorians.

“I am privileged to be a part of this important initiative by sharing and encouraging other women on their health and well-being journey, building connections through our shared lived experiences” – Disability Consumer Advisory Member

We are currently seeking women and trans and gender diverse people with disabilities from across Victoria who have had a breast screen with us in the past six years to join the group.

As a member, you’ll:

  • Share your experiences to help shape service improvements
  • Attend 3 meetings online annually
  • Be supported with accessibility needs and reimbursed for your time

Join an Advisory Group today and be a part of the change. Submit EOI here. For more information, visit breastscreen.org.au/advisorygroups or contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
