Patsie has undertaken research in disability advocacy, self advocacy, sexuality and relationships and violence and abuse prevention. She has also developed and evaluated peer education approaches with people with intellectual disabilities to deliver respectful relationships programs nationally and internationally.
Her current research is looking at inclusion and access for women and girls with disabilities in violence and abuse response services across Australia. Patsie has recent publications on inclusive research methods with people with intellectual disability, sexuality and relationship models and self-advocacy. She is the course director for the new Graduate Certificate of Disability and Inclusion at Deakin University and is working on developing other postgraduate courses for 2017.Location: The Hall
