Jayne Crouch

Jayne Crouch is the mother of five, the youngest two children have disabilities. Her daughter has Down syndrome and her son is on the autism spectrum, he also has ADHD and a anxiety disorder. She is also the carer for her husband who has suffered from a stroke. Jayne was instrumental in formulating and implementing NDIA plans for all three. Jayne is passionate about having adequate advocacy for all people who have cognitive deficiencies and the value of families and the need for them to be supported in our communities. She believes that family carers should be supported so that they can continue to provide a wonderful service not only to those that they love but for all society and that true inclusion can only occur when we stop looking at a persons deficiencies and concentrate on their capabilities. Jayne lives in Geelong with her husband of 35 years and two youngest children along with 2 dogs and a cat.
