Being heard and being seen: building connection in the Deafblind community

This article reports on a participatory research project exploring community building processes – including peer support, networking, self-organising and mutual learning – for the deafblind community in the Hunter region.

The research contributes to understanding of the community development principles that underpin a successful approach to social inclusion and the actions that are needed to build, grow and sustain our communities.
