Free tool to help you plan for an emergency

Natural disasters like bushfires, floods, cyclones and severe storms can be stressful and overwhelming. During an emergency, things can change quickly and you and your loved ones might need to make quick decisions.

It helps to be prepared and talk to your families, carers, supporters and neighbours about what your support needs might be, and what your emergency plan is.

The University of Sydney has created a Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) tool. The tool is designed to support people with disability and their families and carers to have these conversations and create an effective emergency plan to suit individual needs.

The P-CEP website also has helpful resources about disability inclusive emergency planning in states and territories.
