The paper details recommendations on the way forward for the scheme.  It commends the NDIS as the right reform for Australia, but warns that the scale and complexity of implementation is placing great pressure on stakeholders.

NDS identifies the main pressures on the NDIS to be its speed; funding issues; the function of systems; and supply.

The recommendations of the report include proposals to improve participant planning and pricing; strengthen the NDIS’s focus on employment; and improve communication between all parties.
