Hello! We would like to invite you to the Design Workshops of our In and Out project.

This link tells you more information about the project. We have also attached an Easy Read version. We are looking for co-designers who are disabled and have been through intake and discharge in a regional mental health service. You would join us in up to 6 workshops to come up with ideas that would solve some very specific problems we have focussed in on from our research. Attached is a report that tells you what we have done so far.

We would like to invite you to our upcoming Design Workshops.

What to expect

In these workshops, you will use what we have learned to come up with ideas and solutions to the problems young people said matter most.

But first, here are our dates and times:

• All Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm, 2 hours long.
• All online via Zoom (so you will need an internet connected device)
• You will get $100 per workshop as an honourarium.
• 25 June: Re-introduction and what we learned so far.
• 2 July: Structured, guided brainstorming.
• 9 July: More brainstorming.
• *16 July: Sorting and refining our ideas into concepts.
• *23 July: Voting on and refining our concepts down to winning choices.
• *30 July: Backup date in case we need to adjust or do more.

Ideally you come to all of these, but we want to be realistic. *16, 23 and 30 July are the most important for people to come to, as they rely on a group discussing and voting, so if you have to, please prioritise these.

We will still be offering people the chance to do some of this work in between sessions, but please think of the in-between option as a fallback.

None of this means emergencies, sickness and flare ups – they are more important than this!
