The Country Fire Authority and Fire Rescue Victoria have seen a recent spike in home fires. Due to systemic injustices, home fires, like many emergencies, disproportionately impact people who have a disability and people over 65.

A free 40-minute e-learning module called Prevent Detect Escape home fire safety for people at higher risk is designed to help identify home fire risks and how to manage them. This module has been co-created with people who have a disability, service providers, CFA and FRV, and other key partners, and it is available to anyone.
